There is More Work to be Done!

To all my friends and colleagues in the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association, I extend you greetings and welcome you to the 2019-2020 Bar year. It is an honor to be a part of a prestigious Association that has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, professionalism, and service to its members and community.

I am your acting President for only one short year, here to serve our membership with a commitment to making a genuine and enduring difference. I will do everything in my power to effectively lead this Association with direction, motivation, and purpose. The LCDLA serves to improve the administration of justice and to provide attorneys with resources to better their practice areas and the communities they serve. The work of this great Association has helped to bridge the gap between our members and the public by promoting an understanding of the law through legal clinics and community forums. professionalism, and open communication. We have worked to provide legal services to those who are unable to afford it.

There is more work to be done. However, work does not get done without involvement. It takes a willingness to personally involve ourselves if we are to continue our legacy of excellence. We have been given the gift to practice in a special and noble profession. That gift comes with a special responsibility to become involved.

Whether you are a seasoned attorney practicing for decades, or you are a newly admitted attorney seeking to build your knowledge and reputation, please come into the fold of LCDLA family and involve yourself. Our esteemed namesake, Judge L. Clifford Davis, is 95 years young. He is still working on the battlefield of justice. I encourage you to become involved with the L. Clifford Davis Legal Association because there is more work to be done.

I look forward to working with you in the wonderful year ahead!
